Disable the Lock ScreenWindows 8 shows a lock screen when you restart your computer,log out, or lock it. Its very pretty, but it just adds one more keystroke to the login process. You can actually disable the lock screen entirely, although Microsoft hides his option very well.

This option is located in the Group Policy Editor. To launch it, type gpedit.msc at the Start screen and press Enter.

In the Group Policy Editor, navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization.

Double-click the Do not display the lock screen option, set it to Enabled, and click OK.

The next time you restart your system, log out, or lock the screen, you'll see the login screen instead of the lock screen. 




Display Administrative Tools
By default, Windows hides the Event Viewer, Computer Management and other Administrative Tools from the Start screen. If you use these applications frequently, you can easily unhide them.
From the Start screen, mouse over to the bottom or top right corner of the screen and click the Settings charm.

You can also press WinKey-C to view the charms.

Click the Setting link under Start and set the Show administrative tools slider to Yes.

The Administrative Tools will appear on the Start screen and inthe All Apps list.

Customize Search ApplicationsMetro apps can appear as options when you use the searchfeature.
You can control the apps that appear here and trim down the list. First, click the Settings charm from anywhere on your system and click the More PC settings link.
From the PC settings screen, click the Search category and use the sliders to hide apps from the search screen.

8. Now, it will ask you the method in which way you want to set. There are three ways to set as password, choose one of them and repeat it three times.

9. Then again, for your sake it will ask to repeat your way to set as password, repeat the same act which you have chosen as password.






10. Finally, click on ‘OK’ and your password has been created.

How to remove viruses completely from usb

There are some common virus that can spread and infect your computer through USB drives. These viruses include ‘Ravmon‘, ‘New Folder.exe‘, ‘Orkut is banned‘ and some other common viruses. Most antivirus either do not detect these viruses or do not remove them (just quarantine them).
Steps ----

- When you connect USB with your computer, you will get a window asking you what to do. Choose ‘Cancel‘ here.

- Open command prompt by typing ‘cmd‘ in Run box (from Star+Run). In the command prompt, write ‘drive letter:‘ and press Enter (let us say your USB is E so you will write E.

- Now type ‘dir /w/a‘ and press Enter.

- This will display a list of files in your flash drive, check if these files are there or not

Ravmon.exe
New Folder.exe
svchost.exe
Heap41a  Or any other exe file which may be suspicious.

- If any of the above file is there, that means USB is infected by viruses.

- Type ‘attrib -r -a -s -h *.*‘ in command prompt and press Enter. This will remove the Read Only, Archive, System and hidden file attribute from all the files.

- Now just delete the files using the command ‘del filename‘ (for example, to delete a file with name abc.exe I will use ‘del abc.exe‘).

- Your USB now does not have any suspicious file in it. To be on safe side you can now check it with any antivirus to see if it has any such file.

Note:- Disable the Auto-play feature of USB drives so that there are almost no chance of virus spread. Tweak UI can do it for you , download Tweak UI software and install it. Run the program and disable the Auto-run feature of USB drives.

Reset windows7 / vista password

If somehow you have forgotten your windows password and are looking for way around to login back into your computer then you won’t have to worry. There are many methods are available for resetting password of your windows 7 or vista. But many of them are lengthy or sophisticated.

This is one of the simplest method and you only need a windows installation CD/USB to reset the password. It relies on an unpatched bug in windows operating system.


Insert windows 7 disk into your CD Rom and Restart your computer.
* Press any key to Boot from the CD and then click on Repair your Computer.


Now from the various options select Command Prompt.


Now Command Prompt will be open and create a backup of Sticky keys by typing the following command in the command prompt

copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\

Now replace sticky keys with the Command Prompt by typing the following command.

copy c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe

Now Restart your computer.

When you get the windows login screen then hit Shift button for 5 times continuously and Administrative Mode of Command Prompt will be open.

Now to reset the password just type the following command

net user sys *

Remember: sys is the username of the compute. Replace sys with the username of your computer





Login in your computer system with your new Username and Password.


Now every time when you press Shift key for 5 times then command prompt will be open instead of Sticky keys. To get back these Sticky keys repeat first three steps and then in the command prompt window type the following command.

copy c:\sethc.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe

Before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever,we have to understand the functioning of these softwares.I’ll try to explain this in brief.When these softwares are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the Windows Registry with the details such as Installed Date and Time, installed path etc.After installation every time you run the software, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time.So, with this it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.So with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem.For this purpose there is a small Tool known as RunAsDate.



RunAsDate is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the
date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date,but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.
RunAsDate intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date
and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and
replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify.It works with
Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista.


NOTE: FOLLOW THESE TIPS CAREFULLY


You have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and
make it run in it’s trial mode forever.


1. Note down the date and time,when you install the software for the first time.
2. Once the trial period expires,you must always run the software using RunAsDate.
3. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly.If you run the software directly even once, this hack may no longer work.
4.It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.
For example, if the trial period expires on jan 30 2009, always inject the date as jan 29 2009 in the RunAsDate.
